So a new Immortal album is ready to be released soon, apparently, and I just learned this, Abbath quit the band and took ALL the songs they had prepared for a new album and renamed them, rewrote lyrics and recorded them for his solo album LOLOLOL. Maybe I need to go back and buy Abbath's album now that I know this.

I donated to their "get us on tour" fundraising campaign and got handwritten lyrics for "Forget Not". It's quite cool. Didn't pay anywhere near that though.

It's not too bad, it just doesn't sound nearly as full-force powerful as All Shall Fall because of the production.

In all honesty, I don't have too much of a problem with the Patreon thing in its own right. It's an innovative (if slightly cheeky) way of making a living from their music. I just think that its fucking rude of them to go begging their fans for more money straight after spunking $80,000 (or whatever it was) of Kickstarter money buying their way onto bigger bands tours.

I just think they're asking for too much with the $2000+ p/p p/m. To me they're living the dream, and are begging to live it somewhat luxuriously too. Besides that I think there's a lot of artists with smaller and slower-expanding fanbases, that are more deserving that don't do this stuff. Ehh, just doesn't seem like a noble thing to do. Idk, it's not my money, I guess.
