RE: Sleepytime Gorilla Museum? - Ferag - 05-05-2016 Even in the unexpect forum back 9 years a go the fourth album has been talked and very waited for....Maybe BM and SGM will surprise us.... I don't think I will be taking those....I'm a big fan of experiemental weird stuff, but SGM is one of the only band I found it very difficult to listen their album completely haha! I would do a limited edition box set made of wood with the donkey from Grand Opening and Closing seared onto the front like a brand and give it a fancy lock in the side. I hope you're right about the fourth album, I thought the film was a joke too as it's been a long wait (5 years?). It's good to hear at least something coming from theae guys, even if Carla's beauty won't grace FSE. and let's not expect too much from Trey and Mimicry if we ever want to see/hear his apparently huge unreleased catalogue of music he has promised for so long.. not that I'm complaining, that guy can take all the time he needs. I guess he 's witing for the right planetary alignments etc. and to Ferag: I really hope more peole feel like that so the vinyls don't sell too fast. admitedly it took me years of vague familiarity before I actually got into SGM, but when it hit it REALLY hit and somehow connected quite personally. and that crisp production of the first album felt so wasted by only CD release. These will be one of the most celebrated sets of needle drops
RE: Sleepytime Gorilla Museum? - InterzoneagentN - 05-06-2016 Trey has a shit load of music but he is a perfectionist and will sit on it, revise it, sit some more, revise, record, rerecord, sit, revise, preform live twice, and scrap it before he is happy with the final result. That said when he does release something it is always amazing. RE: Sleepytime Gorilla Museum? - Blood Music - 05-07-2016 The band has referenced the 4th album before. I do not know much about the 4th album, but it seems to exist at least partially in some form or another. Maybe by the time we're dead.
