It's like "gear" except the g is not a hard g. A little more like a soft j or the letter ж in Cyrillic.

Good to know. I once saw a (supposedly) fanmade version of Gire's cover art with the band name spelled "Жийр" or sth like that. So that checks out. Like "Zsír" in Hungarian, I guess.

Haha, found it. Apparently I can't Russian as it's Жыыр, which apparently actually means "fat".

Was so happy when I saw that BM would re-release it. Been playing the swirl LP quite often. An awesome band.....that certainly deserve to be more known.
