Wardruna gig was awesome as expected, even though Gaahl isn't in the band anymore. I saw them live at WGT back in 2012 when he was still on board, and he did contribute quite a lot, both with his voice and his stage presence. Still, I can only recommend that you go and check them out live if you ever get the chance. I've been into them beofre the whole Viking series even started, and it's still a "now-I-want-to-throw-my-clothes-away-and-go-into-the-woods-and-never-come-out-again" experience for me every time I listen to them.

I would've killed for this earlier but at the moment I don't feel I HAVE to go. I will think about Tampere if I can get some friends going with me. It's closer than Helsinki to me and nicer venue as well.

Roadburn just announced Those Poor Bastards. Favorite band by far. I was holding off on purchasing a ticket for some reason, even though the lineup was already fantastic with Perturbator and Oranssi Pazuzu, but now I definitely have to buy a ticket. Valborg and Carpenter Brut were also announced. Damn, this is going to be amazing.

Ash Borer, Emma Ruth Rundle, Chelsea Wolfe. Holy fuck. I will miss it again, but I hope Ash Borer hits Texas at some point.

Last night I was at Vernissa, in Vantaa, to see my friends' band, Hanging Garden perform their EP release show (kind of, as it has been out earlier). Cool event altogether, with Counting Hours and Oddland as supporting acts. I personally would've liked to see The Moth Gatherer there, as originally planned, instead of Oddland, it had a bit too much musicianship for my taste. Counting Hours and HG delivered very atmospheric gigs anyway. Counting Hours surprised me with their last song, as they announced it would be a cover, and I was expecting it to be something from Brave Murder Day, but instead they played I Break, heh.
