I just realized that i've been listening to them for something like ten years now and still haven't stumbled upon seeing them live. They tour so regularly that driving couple of hours because of them doesn't seem like something of high priority i guess. One day i'll have to just whip my ass off and go check them. Like most bands, it suits them better. RE: Live Shows - kadaver - 03-10-2017 Seeing Triptykon next week for the first time! And just a month until Roadburn! RE: Live Shows - winterburner - 03-12-2017 Just saw Moonsorrow. Great atmosphere, as always. Setlist consisting almost only of Voimasta ja kunniasta and Jumalten aika left a bit to be desired, though. Then again, they are both fantastic albums so nothing wrong there. Nothing will ever beat the 2014 setlist anyway. Sent from mTalk RE: Live Shows - purplepanda - 03-13-2017 Saw Adele on the weekend. Bloody hell her voice is unreal RE: Live Shows - hugo - 03-13-2017 would like to see her live, but her tickets in Dallas sold out within minutes, MINUTES! RE: Live Shows - Emplate - 03-14-2017 I went to see Negură Bunget on Saturday in Porvoo. The show itself was nice, the setlist having a lot of material from OM. The venue itself, however, wasn't really appropriate for this kind of gig. It was in the same complex as the local night club, and seemed like people could enter both the gig and the night club area with the same fee, 'cause at some point there were lots of traffic back and forth in the middle of the show. It didn't help that the entrance to the lounge where the show was located right next to the stage. There were lots of people watching the local support act, cheering for the hometown boys, and their friends, I presume, but almost none of them actually watched the main act. It felt like 70% of the people there didn't know what kind of gig they were attending. So although I enjoyed the show itself immensely, I think the experience goes to show that underground metal gigs don't necessarily fit in the same place with "regular" people. RE: Live Shows - Godflesh - 03-14-2017 I wanted to see Negura yesterday, but missed it. Dang. RE: Live Shows - hugo - 03-14-2017 Negura is playing in Arlington (so weird, bands usually play Dallas or all the way over at Fort Worth) in a month, but my mom will be in town and headed out that same night and I have to drop her off, hopefully I can make it in time to see them

They were originally scheduled to play in Lapinjärvi, which is literally in the middle of nowhere, but I guess the organizers realized that made no sense and the show was moved to Vantaa. Still to quite an obscure place, of course. Otherwise I would've considered going there also, but a gig on a Tuesday evening isn't that tempting. |
