Blackcurrant beer sounds intriguing af, gotta try that out. Reminds me - tried a Kirsch Bier (Cherry beer) by Neuzeller Klosterbrauerei not too long ago. Was very, very interesting and weirdly enjoyable.

I find that Kirsch bier, Kriek cherry, lambic etc. are strangely compelling and very enjoyable. But blackcurrant beer wasn't as good. I can enjoy a bottle every few months, not more often. Worth a try though.

Have you tried this specific one? First of all, I didn't think it was very good but second of all, that's pretty whack to advertise your beer on the label as weissbier and then jam some flavors in there that aren't expected. Can't remember ever encountering something like that in my life because I think you can get in pretty big trouble for mislabeling!

Have to share a story I heard about Korn when on tour once. Apparently, they were in Belgium (Brussels I believe) on a world tour and their hotel stocked a variety of local brews. They proceeded to put in a complaint to the hotel, returned what they were provided and specifically requested Budweiser. Budweiser... in Belgium... WTF?
Maybe it's an urban myth, even so.

I remember hearing that story back in the 90's... might of even featured on their video release at the time, "Who Then Now", can't remember exactly.
