My pre-order of Krypts' "Remnants of Expansion" arrived yesterday, and now that I've listened to it a few times, I can say that it sounds monstrous! Definitely a challenger for album of the year for me.

I think the new Krypts sounds great too. But for me it still lacks that final something to crack to the year-end list. Sounds monstrous, but the album is not quite the monster it could be. Still the best of this type of death/doom this year so far.

I didn't find it all-time legendary but definitely good enough to hit some year end metal lists. Great album.

Yeah, by no means an all-time death metal classic, but still a very good, solid album.
