I'm ashamed to admit (not really) that I've mostly been listening to the new Babymetal album since it came out last week. Some songs are annoying as fuck, but most of it is so damn catchy and awesome. And one of the final tracks really surprised me with some really amazing prog/avantgarde stuff.

Figured I might as well ruin my reputation straight away on this forum

That new Deftones is sounding better now it's on my record deck and not a dodgy rip on my PC. I think some of the tracks on that original rip were wrong too. This sounds WAY better than I remember it being earlier in the week.

If you have to download to "try before you buy", newalbumreleases have a FLAC copy.

Often leaks or rips are not actually the bitrate that they say they are. Someone might have taken a low quality mp3 and converted it to flac or 320kbps. I always wait until I can get it from a reputable source (usually spotify or bandcamp) before judging the mix or sound quality of the album.

Didn't realise the new Ihsahn record was out. Definitely checking that one today. Songs that were released so far made me hopeful this album would be better than the last two.

Having also been listening to it, I don't like it as much as the first one but it is still solid.
That said, my favourite album this year so far is new Sia.

In this case, some of the actual tracks were different on the "leak". For example, "Hearts/Wires" ended with drum-and-bass segment. Something tells me that someone spoofed me, lol.

Going through Kanye - "Life of Pablo" now

I really liked Yeezus - a LOT.

This new album is chock full of fantastic tracks, sadly I just don't think it flows well into a full album. It feels like a compilation album. Might need a few listens though.

I looove hip hop but I can't get into Kanye, still... TLOP was certainly an interesting run, but I don't see myself listening to it again. Ultra Light Beam was pretty good track, FWIW.
Music, Math, and Linguistics are my favs
