Captain America - Civil War
So lets look at what this film is trying to achieve:
- Massive ensemble cast.
- Introduce two new characters who have their own films coming out, so they needed to have an impact, even amongst established characters.
- Pits the two biggest draws of the franchise against each other.
Very ambitious, and still FUN!!! Marvel, yet again, whilst developing an expanding universe, keep their eye on the ball and remember that above all they're in the entertainment business. Until DC manage to make their franchise enjoyable, no-ones gonna give a shit about Batman, Superman et al when they can watch these Marvel films instead. We're 13 films in now, and all of them have been pretty solid. This is arguably the best of the bunch. It's all the more enjoyable as Black Widow is back to her ass-kicking live-action fighting best (ala Iron Man 2) without so much CGI reliance.
Bring on the Infinity War!!!!
