Yeah, yesterday Anneke was onstage with Devin for a few songs again. A joint tour would make a whole lot sense, and everybody wins.

And the local sauna association's tent sauna is a real headliner here too. It feels so amazing! We boycotted Wintersun just because of the ridiculous studio fund raiser, but the main stage is 50 meters off, so We could hear them well enough to the tent.

Oh damn, I think I came a little. On several occasions in the last two hours. Witnessing the power trio Kingston Wall live was incredible! Well it was Freak Out, the official unofficial Kingston Wall, but as far as bass and guitar goes, it was like young KW when Petri Walli was alive. And there's nothing to diss the drummer either, but he's not THE Sami Kuoppamäki, even though the other two managed to fill the legendary shoes just perfectly.

The semi-improvs and fullon freakouts a la authentic Kingston Wall were unbelievable. The Jimi Hendrix song Fire got an improvised reggae mid-section and extended soloing out of the normal Kingston Wall live range. The best 5euros I've spent in a loooong time. Hell, you can't even buy a regular lager in a bar for that money. That was a work of pure love and they do that only a few times a year. I need more of this shit! And Kingston Wall. Thank god Kingston Wall's live bootleg gets an official vinyl release in a month.

After 5 years, I will be going to Summer Breeze again - by far the largest festival I've been to in a while (WGT never counts for me, since I live here and don't have to set up a tent and live minimalistically while it's on). Quite some bands I'm looking forward to (Der Weg Einer Freiheit, Firtan, Finntroll, Wardruna and so forth. Might even check out Devin Townsend Project, since you guys are constantly drooling all over it Smile).
One hundred billion dollars!

We decided to ditch the kids for two nights and make an ex tempore trip to Copenhagen to see Tori Amos this weekend.

Well this didn't go as planned. 1,5 days till Denmark, 1 day until Lasten Hautausmaa and Grave Pleasures in Tampere, and I have a flu setting in. No fever yet, but feeling awful and also got conjunctivitis rapidly coming on. 2 hours of sleep after the Tampere gig until heading to the airport, so perhaps no sleep is better. Fuck ex tempore plans.
