Forget what I've said about not being into them, I've been really getting into them lately.

So you were at Howls of Winter? Goddamnit, would've really liked to go, but my thesis currently forbids me from any kind of fun.
Well yeah, was there on Friday mainly because we played that night. Seemed like a cool event but I only came back to see Misþyrming after we'd played. Would have liked to stay for Saturday, too but well. Can't have all.

Cool. Which band you were playing with?

Nice. Don't know if this is a really weird question to ask on a forum right off the bat, but you have any idea, if you would be interested to play with us on June 1? We have a venue booked, but still lacking bands...

Saw Moonsorrow and Primordial in London on Monday night... great stuff. Gutted I missed Der Weg Einer Freiheit, but shit happens when you're stuck in a meeting at 3pm then have to drive halfway across the country.

They're playing in my town tomorrow. Considered going, but I have seen them all live more than once and got an exhausting weekend ahead of me, so I might let it go this time.

Moonsorrow is great live! I honestly can't remember the last gig I went to now though. :o

I almost want to say it was Roadburn last year, haha, could that be for real?

Wait, I typed that then realized I saw GosT last weekend, haha. Fuck, life is a blur.

Took the missus to see Ugly Kid Joe last night, lol. 25th anniversary of "America's Least Wanted".

Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons supported, and Whit Crane got up to sing "Born To Raise Hell" with them, which was fucking cool (though only fans of the movie Airheads will appreciate it, haha).

Whit Cranes new band Yellowcake opened, they were really good as it goes, kinda AIC meets Down.

Just got back from Roadburn. The last day was a blast, the other days kinda blew, apart from a few bands. Hail Spirit Noir was awesome, although the sound could've been a little bit better. Ended my Sunday with GosT. Despite clamoring for more, we were disappointed by the 013 venue (I assume) in our want for one more (preferably even more) song(s). That was, by the way, the only gig I witnessed this festival where the crowd actively screamed for more. Overall, last year was much better, and the Roadburn FB group is too much of a circlejerk in constantly praising the fest and not allowing any space for criticism, attempting to push forward bands that are undeserving. I'm left wondering why some people get to curate and why the same bands play over and over. While those truly deserving sometimes do get attention, they often get too little in comparison to other mediocre, widely recognized acts. I get that there's a "core" Roadburn audience, and I'm not a part of that, but if Roadburn wants to be a leading force in directing us to the best and most innovative music this will need to change.
