Pallbearer's Foundations of Burden was on many "the best of 2014" lists, but I didn't come around listening to it until recently. Don't know why I've put that off so long, it's one hell of an album! I simply love the guitar tones in this one. It certainly pays respect to 70s, but I think they throw their own spice in the mix as well. Sometime's it feels like there's too much retro worshiping going on the scene. Don't get me wrong, I love 70s stuff, but I think the best 70s rock/heavy was done in the 70s.
