Death Metal

Tribulation's last was far and away one of my favorites from last year, but I'd be hard pressed to call it death metal.

Heh, I knew someone would say this :) Well, yeah, you could be right, but as I stated before, I still think they have their roots in death metal and show it. I find their death metal influences to be quite obvious and the whole atmosphere of the music has a death's feeling to it, so I wouldn't blame anyone for calling them for example "progressive death metal".
