Pretty crazy huh? I immediately thought of the Emperor box when I saw that. In comparison, the recent 20+ discs King Crimson box sets were only 130-150$ each. I guess Gilmour and co. thought Pink Floyd fans are crazy enough to pay +500$ on what is essentially a CD/BluRay box + memorabilia + a few vinyl singles that no one cares.
I'm a fan of most everything Floyd but I cannot justify that price. I mean, I would love to hear that stuff but I don't care much for the Syd Barrett era, which is the first 2 books in the set. Imagine if it were all vinyl? I think they would have asked 1500$ for it. I'll wait for the individual sets to come out in 2017 and lets just hope they won't charge 100$ each.
