He signed my "Uncanny Valley" box set and I got a "holy shit!" from him when I showed him my "Dangerous Days" test pressing, which he signed also. He said he's been working on some industrial sounding stuff for a next album. I'm really curious to see where it goes.
I actually loved the opener, Aeon Rings. What did you think?
Not sure if we saw each other - I was up front on the right the whole time. I had on a Perturbator hoodie with the pentagram on the back.
Sorry for the suuuuuper late response lol. I definitely saw you over on the right and wish I had known to say hi, I was the tall lanky kid in the Carpenter Brut shirt about 2/3 of the way back on the dance floor and lined up with the middle of the stage.
As for the openers, Grutch was really good with his more techno-y stuff and his beatmatching was really good which led to a nice groove, but his last stuff was a little overpowering with the synth. Aeon Rings was fantastic, I really loved their first instrumental song that they did, and then the first one when the vocalist came out on stage. Pale Blue was great and such a solid, catchy tune. I also really liked the last song that they did, but I can't for the life of me remeber it.
I wish I had stuck around after the show to have my ticket signed, but I thought he might not come by the merch table. I did get to the venue early and he walked right in front of me in line to get over to the lounge where he stayed for the openers. I was pretty surprised by how short he was, but I could recognize that scowl under a black hoodie anyday. His setlist was really good though, lots of Dangerous Days stuff which I love. I was definitely not a fan of the moshing and got bumped around a few too many times.
