This week it has been 6 years already since Ronnie James Dio died. The same for Peter Steele last month. It was just last year or the year before! Where has my life gone?

Tell me about it. Nearly 20 years since I was first in the queue at Tower Records in Piccadily Circus for the midnight launch of Metallicas "exciting new album". 16 years since I was drinking vodka in London with Devin Townsend and Gene Hoglan. About 13 years since I last saw Iron Maiden live. And 8 years since I saw Moonsorrow. My bass has been gathering dust on the wall for about four years.

Christ. I'm so old and depressed. Hopefully I'll have some kind of midlife crisis to spice things up. :-p

I am wondering how many actual people should've been doing all this work by now.  I used to think three a long time ago, but by now I'm wondering if it should've been more like 4-5.  I believe most of the full-time mid-level black/death labels are 2-5 people.  The larger ones are usually 10-50.  Profound Lore is still one though I think, I believe he's the only other one at a comparable level who is still one person too.
