I think the artist who did the M did the album cover. Pretty sure the box set had an effect on their tastes as well - it came up once or twice privately during the making of the album.

Awesome night! Almost two hours of epic metal from almost all albums.

so jealous that you get to see them there. Living in Dallas means I don't get as many "smaller" euro bands as I did in Mexico (european bands seem to love Mexico & south america). Things like Therion, Lacrimosa, Gathering/Anneke almost never made it to the US. But hey I get to see Swallow the Sun in December with Dark Tranquillity!

Oooohhh... now this surprised me. I think I need a few more listens, but 2016 is definitely looking brighter (in a gloomy doomy black metalish kinda way).

Slice the Cake revealed that they've had some serious internal struggles and were on the verge of shelving this, but decided that after all the effort they should release it.
God damn am I glad they did, this is spectacular.
