I love the idea of putting together a battle vest! I've got 50+ patches that I've accumulated, but I just haven't gotten my ass to go get a jacket that I want, lol.

Hm, whatever that Perturbator thing in the article was, it was most definitely a boot, I haven't produced anything like that and don't think he has either.

Being a member of a HMC, I was kind of forced into this whole battle vest thing. Being in my 4th year of membership, I got used to it, though I still don't wear it all the time like some of my club mates do. There's band patches on it, obviously, but because of the whole club thing it has also got our logo on the back, including Top Rocker, Bottom Rocker and all that. Name and rank patch as well; a mixture between biker- and metal vest, really.
One hundred billion dollars!

I've thought about getting a red denim jacket (or dyeing a white one) - I think all of my black patches would look awesome against it. I'm also torn between sleeves/no sleeves. Yours came out looking awesome, so I think I might go with sleeves.
I'll probably cut the sleeves myself. I'd mostly wear it inside, so I guess it'd help in not getting too hot. Think I'll get something black, but not sure.

Thanks guys! Black patches on a red denim jacket actually sounds like an awesome idea! I love the combination of red and black, so I think that would look really cool. I've also thought about getting a vest at some point, too.
