Love that album. I asked on Facebook and a vinyl release is in the works.

Sombres Forêts is also top quality. As are a lot of the bands on Sepulchral Productions.

Pink Floyd - piper at the gates of dawn (EU version showed up warped and poorly packed by amazon.de so they shipped me a new one, ugh, I hope they pack this one better).
Neurosis - Through Silver in Blood (white /100)
Neurosis - Times of Grace (white /100)
black vinyl can always wait.

Today's arrival: Deathspell Omega – Diabolus Absconditus

Hilariously, it appeared on their bandcamp just the other day. They must have reissued it. Go buy! Two of their best songs ever.

the latest peaceville reissue? how's that one sound? it's been on my shopping cart forever but I already have that 10 year old CD reissue so I'm not sure unless someone tells me it sounds better.

Yep, the latest Peaceville press. Only had time to listen to side D ("Turn Loose..."/"Black God") so far. The drums pop even more forward than in the CD master (the first one) but I would say that would happen no matter what was done with the mastering. Noiseless press, at least on that side anyway, and faithful to the original. What would make it sound better? The mix befits destructive analogue playback better than digital anyway, imo. Same with any of the early Peaceville 3 recordings; digital is just slightly too... brittle? So I suppose I'd be happy with any press as long as it wasn't excessively noisy or flat.

Blood Music package!! Big Grin
Grey Aura: bla bla bla -2CD Digibook
Rïcïnn: Lïan -CD
I was worried that it was going to be stuck at Canada Post. They're on the verge of a lockout. I will have at least 5 packages that will be in limbo for several weeks unless they come to an agreement with their employees. Sad I'll have more news about this on Friday.

And some Discogs finds:
Abyssal: Denouement -CD
Ontôs On: Sombre Chaotic Entrance in the Chasm of Existential Resignation -MCD (a Québec black metal rarity from many moons ago)

I was not that much of a fan of Forteresse before this album, but starting with the Légendes split EP they changed their sound a bit, adding several melodic parts. I like this quite a lot. It's definitely in my top black metal albums this year. I think I saw something regarding a vinyl release but I can't recall where. Great news!

Yeah I wasn't huge into them either until this album. I didn't actually check out that split but I should.

I've come across a bunch of nice atmospheric BM from this year (right now Ashbringer's "Yugen" is getting lots of spins) that could rival Forteresse as BM album of the year. But we'll see!

(also looks like Canada Post is on strike now...good you got the Blood Music before!)

Yeah, I've held off several yearnings to order this week for this reason. Bloody need to drop my name in for the new Remedy Lane re-mix and grab more Mgła because that band is just unbeatable but the lockout is looming big. I'm gonna be able to grab one being held for me tomorrow but there's the friggin' Boris - Pink 3xLP that's gonna just sit there until they go back to work! Dammit!

(Canada Post is being a bunch of dickbags, though, so I hope their hand is forced in favour of the workers.)

Canada Post agreed to the demand of a 30-day extension. We're good until August, at least. I just hope they don't go on strike around the time the Emperor box ships, that would be a shame...
