Thank You Scientist's jazzy prog rock epic just arrived today! Seriously, give this a listen. I wasn't sure about it at the beginning but I'm more than half way through now and it's fuckin' awesome.

And because I hate money, I just ordered the magenta/black 3LP box of Alcest's new album. :| That makes three albums making their way to me in September: Touché Amoré, clipping., and Alcest. Four if I decide to jump on the new Oathbreaker, which is super tempting.

A much better album than the disappointing 17th Street. It's not a masterpiece (I guess August Engine will remain in that spot forever) but after one listen I think it is on par with The Locust Years.

I got my Xtreem Music order delivered a few days back with Malthusian - MMXIII, Death Strike - Fuckin' Death and Verminous - The Unholy Communion CD's. Oh, and also bought Cirith Ungol's King of the Dead on vinyl from Tallinn!

Got the new Black Crown Initiate on blue/grey marbled. So weird, it's a gatefold but one of the sleeves is glued shut so both records go in the other sleeve. I hate that.

What?!  That is weird, I don't remember ever seeing that.

Only seen the same with Nhor's "Within the Darkness Between the Starlight" 2LP from Prophecy Prod. Even has a poster and a prety thick booklet in addition to the discs so it's very frustrating.

It's the full album with bonus track at 45RPM (first three records) and an etching on the last:

"Complete Kodama Box": 4LPs (45rpm) incl. vinyl etching and bonus track "Notre Sang Et Nos Penseées"

do they really need a whole other disc for the one song? Feel like they could've just made that a 7" or 10" or something.

j/k I have no idea

But LPs are sadly not THAT much more expensive to make than 10"s or 7"s, so that's why putting out 7"s sucks cause you can barely just escape losing money on them.
