Dude I actually just played this a few days ago and was blown away by side A, like, I REALLY REALLY loved it. Then got distracted by a dragon in Skyrim during side B so I can't recall if I liked it or not. But yeah it is a grower. Production is shite, though.

Haha, yeah I really feel like it's a supreme grower, very few albums worked on me like that.  But yeah, production stops it from being a masterpiece, sadly.  They've had some pretty dank production on earlier albums too, which is why I wanted to do that live album - there are so many tracks in that live album that sound better than the studio releases imo!

Think they wanted "Arcturian" to sound as, well, Arcturian as possible - that is to say, like their other albums which haven't exactly had the best production values. Guess that's such an important part of being Arcturus, dunno really. Anyways as far as I'm aware the production is very much intentionally what it is.

That said, I like the album a loooot. But I'm a huge Arcturus fan so guess I'm biased :3

I love earlier Arcturus stuff, I was really pulling for this one. At least it grew on me unlike their previous one - perhaps I didn't listen to that one enough times to get past the production. Big Grin

So, you're allowed to bring your own handguns to college now in Texas. WTF?!?!

Because it's Texas, man.

In all seriousness I am not happy about it, hopefully it doesn't spiral out of control. Most restaurants and all office buildings are banning open carry, and lawfully so, but stupid colleges did not give a flying fuck.
