I still feel like there is yet to drop many massive albums this year, going through this list I see very few "must have" universally accepted records.

Wonder if autumn will bring them.

Don't really know about universally accepted records, but I feel this year has been really strong for black metal. I've enjoyed the new Dødsengel, Rebirth of Nefast, The Ruins of Beverast, Nightbringer and Pillorian immensely.

This year is releasing some very memorable albums sparsely. Persefone - Aathma, Ingurgitating_Oblivion - Vision Wallows In Symphonies Of Light, Serpent Column - Ornuthi Thalassa, Sunless - Urraca and upcoming we still have a new Portal album dropping, new Pyrrhon and my most anticipated album Retrocausal by Cleric (If you haven't heard Regressions please change that).
