That's a very good excuse to get out of the house on RSD even though I wouldn't buy any RSD stuff. I love to browse through records live, instead of always pre-ordering online.

...and, of course, the one and only record that I wanted won't be available at the store tomorrow. Another RSD well ruined; sorry for starting a discussion, guys (well, not really, but you know ;-) ).
Might try and get a hold of it in Berlin (or later on Discogs for ridiculous prices), but other then that: Godfuckingdamnit!
One hundred billion dollars!

Not 100% if this is correct, but if that's the case, I can give no support for such an event.

This is basically the issue. I'm all for getting bodies into stores to shop for records, but this whole "holiday" is badly managed.

Yeah, I definitely love record stores and would be glad to see them doing well, but really don't want to see it happening at the expense of independent underground players.

Hey guys, can you tell me by chance which merch stores have worked out best for you in the past? Anywhere in the world is fine. By that, I mean places like Omerch, Indiemerch, etc. I don't mean direct webshops from labels but those outside merch shops. I'm doing a bit of research here. Shipping prices + quality of service are both interesting to hear about.

merchtable, indiemerch, fair shipping prices if you're in the US and they know how to properly pack vinyl.
black vinyl can always wait.

Indiemerch is my favorite "general" music store to buy from.

Only in Finland can you find a course in heavy metal from the philosophy department.

People hatin' on battle vests here. I kind of like the idea of it. Putting all the bands and things you really love on the same vest. I mean, if we're going to talk about fashion or anything; most band apparel is kind of ugly. I personally like seeing what other people are into, if their taste is varied enough anyway.

I'm looking into making one myself, but I don't really have all the patches I want yet. About 7 smaller ones and just got a big one for on the back. Found this article, even has some cool synth vests with Carpenter Brut, Perturbator and Mega Drive: http://www.toiletovhell.com/how-to-make-...le-jacket/
